EFA-First from Health First is a balanced essential fatty acid supplement that makes it easy to get the good fats you need everyday. Containing borage oil, flaxseed oil and fish oil, this “multivitamin” of oils supplies the essential fatty acids known as GLA, LA, ALA, DHA and EPA.

Good fats are important for numerous cellular processes and help to maintain heart, brain, skin and eye health. More specifically these good fats have been shown to assist in conditions of elevated triglyceride and cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis, mental disorders, diabetic neuropathy, menstrual and menopausal discomforts, eczema and psoriasis.

Medicinal ingredients:

Borage oil (Borago officinalis) (seed)                400 mg

Fish oil (Anchovy, sardine, mackerel)               400 mg

Flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum) (seed)         400 mg

Supplying the following essential fatty acids:

GLA (Gamma linolenic acid)                             90 mg

ALA (Alpha linolenic acid)                               225 mg

EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid)                           76.5 mg

DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid)                            50 mg

Oleic acid                                                    120 mg

Linoleiic Acid                                                210 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Gelcap shell (from gelatin, glycerin and purified water).

Free from artificial flavours, artificial colours, gluten, wheat, lactose, preservatives added sugar and yeast.

Recommended use or purpose: Supports overall health. Helps support cognitive health/brain function and helps to maintain cardiovascular health.

Dosage:

Adult (overall health and cognitive health/brain function): take 3 gelcaps daily.

Adult (maintenance of cardiovascular health): take 5 gelcaps daily.
